Engaging Girls ages 5-11

Wildcats have fun, make friends and play futsal

Braintree Hockey Club

Monday’s 6-7pm

£3 per session

The Football Association and SSE have teamed up to launch a new initiative, SSE Wildcats, designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in the sport.
SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Clubs will provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls.
The clubs will run from spring through to summer on a weekly basis.
The initiative follows the launch The FA’s Game plan for Growth, which outlined the target of doubling girls’ participation in the sport by 2020.
Each SSE Wildcats club will be run in conjunction with local County FAs and utilise qualified coaches and local facilities to offer girls a location nearby where they can get involved.

Regional Youth Futsal Series

  • Saturday 17th November 2018

On Saturday 17th November our World Futsal Cup squad travel to University of Bedfordshire to compete in the regional youth futsal series. This event is played by some top football and Futsal teams in the region.

This event will see our squad face Colchester United Academy, Bedford Futsal, Luton Town Academy, Parsloe Futsal and Watford FC Academy.

Coach Frank has been working really hard with the boys lately and are developing into real intelligent futsal players. In the last month they have also played a handful of fixtures playing against Valley Green FC, Holland Futsal, Billericay Colts and have also played a Regional 3v3 tournament which the squad was split up but they saw themselves become Essex Champions and Runners up!!!

A Special mention to Braintree Futsal Player, Marley Baker-Burton who is Sponsored by VIDDAL RILEY. Professional Boxer also known as Famous Youtuber KSI’s Boxing Coach!

Marley will be playing for his Futsal Club but he will be facing a challenge that doesn’t come around often. He will be playing against his current football club and team mates. (Colchester United FC Academy) It may be a challenge that doesn’t come around often but its a challenge I’m sure he can’t wait to take on.

Good luck to the boys and coaches tomorrow and thanks again to the parents for all their time and support.

We will try our best keep you all up to date on how we get on through our social media pages.
